Duran News

Duran sent 8 wrestlers to compete for a belt and title of league champion. We won two belts coming from Deven Lopez and Ricky Auvula. They did extremely well. We also lost 4 overtime matches. Which was heart breaking. And we lost one match while we were winning by 8 points with 10 seconds left. lessons learned and hopefully next time we will win this close matches.  All said and done we did really well and we look forward to challenging ourselves and wrestling the best again.

Ryno Krupp finally wrestlers like we expect him to. After he almost trade in his wrestling shoes for dance high heels he comes out and kills the bracket at the league championships. What a dominate performance. He also wrestled like a beast at the New Mexico Nationals making his first National Championship appearance this year. Great Job Krupp. Keep your wrestling shoes your an amazing wrestler you need to believe in yourself and you will go the distance. Pride is what you have.

Braylon Vargas -- Braylon Wrestled so hard this weekend. We are excited for this young wrestler to represent Duran Wrestling in the league Championships. He dominated his early matches and won some really close back and fourth matches. Great Job Pride is what you have

Slade is a hard worker and for his efforts he has easily become of the states best 4u wrestlers. We cant wait to see him prove it at the state wrestling tournament. Slade has done two tournaments per weekend and even moved up to the 6u divisions in order to get better competition. This is very rare to see at this age. Slade continue to work hard and the sky is the limit for you. Pride is what you have

Fernandez Family leads the Way

Duran Wrestling Sent some hammers down to New Mexico Nationals in order to Bring home both team and individual Gold. We fell short after leading much of the day. However it was the Fernandez Boys that were leading the way. 3 Brothers all in the Finals. Two would fall just shy and one would prevail. It was an outstanding day of wrestling for much of the Duran Team. We are preparing to battle in our league and state championships with two more nationals on schedule. Remember you get out what you put in. Continue to Dominate Duran.

Top 3 Finish at Whos Bad Nationals

By David Duran

Duran Wrestlers hit the wrestling mats over Christmas Break. We had 7 wrestlers make the finals. Leading the way was Giovanni Ramos who also earned the 6u outstanding Wrestler Award, which is the third wrestler to earn this achievement this year. Duran Wrestlers found themselves winning and losing some close matches. We are proud of each and everyone of our athletes. Has a team we finished the day in third place. Not to bad we also had some key wrestlers not be able to attend. So great job to all our Duran Families.
